Beauty of the Soundarya Lahiri

The Soundarya Lahiri literally means waves of beauty and elegance.

The first 41 verses of this work is called Ananda Lahiri which means waves of Bliss and the next 59 verses are called the Soundarya Lahiri, although the total work of 100 verses together form the Soundarya Lahiri.

Some believe that Lord Ganesha Himself etched the verses of this great work on Mount Meru.

LORD GANESHA

Sri Gaudapada, the Guru of Sri Shankara read it from there and conveyed it to Sri Shankara. After this Sri Adi Shankara, added another 59 verses and completed the 100 verse work.

The 100 verses of Sri Soundarya Lahiri are the foremost work in Sanskrit Literature. These verses are so powerful, that one can chant particular verses of this work and attain anything under the sun.

The Sages recommend one should follow fast and follow strict rules of celibacy and discipline when one has undertaken the Anushthanam of the reading of Soundarya Lahiri. Some also state that creating suitable Yantras speed up the process of wish-fulfillment when one uses the work for one’s own benefit.

The most important aspect of this great hymn is attaining both spiritual and material benefits.

Discussion on a few Yantras for the Lahiri

Now I will list down the exact process of using the Yantra and mantra of Soundarya Lahiri for personal benefits. However, I will discuss only a few Yantras and mantras included in this text otherwise the video post shall become too big and boring.

I request my viewers to follow a clean lifestyle of pure vegetarianism free of onion/garlic/non-veg/smoking/drinking and gambling if they wish to undertake sadhana of the Soundarya Lahiri verses.

If one does not abide by these basic lifestyle rules, following the sadhana process can be dangerous and may even cause harm to the practitioner.

Another important condition for using the Soundarya Lahiri Yantras for purposeful goals is that one has to be formally initiated into the Shakta tradition or the Sri Vidya tradition and that too by a well-established Guru of that lineage; otherwise Yantra sadhana will be fruitless.

SRI YANTRA SOUNDARYA LAHIRI

Yet, uninitiated persons interested in taking benefit of the Soundarya Lahiri can simply chant the specific verses, a prescribed number of times, considering Devi and Lord Shiva as one’s Guru. This, one can do.
