Maryada Purushottam Sri Rama
The Rama Sahasranama Stotram appears in the Ananda Ramayana written by Sage Valmiki comprising 120 verses. Sri Rama is the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is the Maryada Purushottama or the best among men. He was born to free the world from Rakshasas and kill the evil demon Ravana.
Sri Ramachandra is very strict with Himself but very loving and forgiving to others. He is an ideal son, ideal husband, ideal brother, ideal friend, ideal king, and an ideal master. He is an ideal son because he obeyed the orders of his father Dasharath and sacrificed the throne without a second thought. He is an ideal husband because he took the pains to find his consort, Sita. As an ideal brother, he offered the throne to his brother Bharata. Who does that in today’s world?

In history, we have seen brothers fighting with each other for the throne. Such a level of detachment can only exist in the Supreme Lord Ramachandra. As an ideal friend, he claimed the throne of Kishkinda for his Vanara friend Sugriva. As an ideal king, he established Rama Rajya which lasted for 11,000 years. During this time, people were healthy, contented, and peaceful.
Sri Rama is an ideal master to Lord Hanuman. Sri Ramachandra did nothing for His own pleasure during all these instances. Sri Rama is always merciful to his devotees. Chanting one Rama Nama itself is so powerful to speak about chanting a thousand names of Sri Rama!

Process of Chanting Sri Rama Sahasranama
Now, I shall cover chanting the Rama Sahasranama
It is ideal to chant Vishnu Tattva mantras in the morning time. Bathe early in the morning and wear clean clothes. Face the east direction and sit on an asana with a photo or idol of Lord Ram and Seeta in front of you. With a pure mind, concentrate on the divine form of Lord Rama. Worship the Lord by showing a dhoop or incense stick.
Offer him fruits, flowers, and water to offer. Then you can start reciting the Sri Rama Sahasranama. Ideally, take a 21 or 41-day Vrata for Chanting the Rama Sahasranama. Never consume non-vegetarian food, onion, or garlic. Avoid any form of Gambling including investing in shares, drinking, or smoking. Ask the Lord to forgive your past sins and then put forth your desire with humility.
If the Lord deems it right, he shall definitely fulfill your wish, if it is in your karma. The Sahasranamam expects you to be as straight and with a character similar to the great Lord Sri Rama. The Sahasranamam shall give you everything from survival to Liberation. This is my guarantee.
