Guru and Devatas: Their Importance in Moksha

The Shandilya Bhakti Sutra emphasizes that true devotion (bhakti) and the path to liberation can only be achieved through worshiping Lord Vishnu and his incarnations, rather than through the worship of Devatas or gurus.
