Ravana was punished and ultimately killed by Lord Rama for kidnapping Sita, while Jayanta, who attacked Sita in the form of a crow, was spared due to his act of Sharanagati (surrender). Sri Ramanujacharya emphasized that surrendering to the Lord nullifies one's sins, leading to acceptance and eventual liberation.
The path to Moksha is the ultimate form of Dharma in Sanatana Dharma, with the Bhagavad Gita emphasizing Karma, Jnana, and Bhakti Yoga as the means to attain Bhagawan, and true surrender (Sharanagati Bhava) as the essence of devotion where one wholly depends on God's grace, transcending all forms of personal effort and individual paths.
