Tat wale Baba, was famous for his quotes. His short statements created a long-lasting impact on the devotees who flocked to listen to his satsangs (spiritual discourse). Tat wale Baba was a simple man, a man of few words.
His stellar appearance was a reminder of his huge inner spirit. His recommendations to the common man to lead a happy and peaceful life were simple and applicable.

Tat wale Baba and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
On a rare occasion, he was present on the dais at Rishikesh. He attended a retreat where the great Indian Yogi, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi conducted his meditation programs. Tat wale Baba sat nearby on the dais with his gaze positioned downwards.
In a short while after the commencement of the program, Tat wale Baba was invited to give his speech. Baba stood there silently for a few seconds with his eyes still looking down.
A strange composure enveloped the whole arena, as if it radiated right from the chest area of Baba. He took a deep breath. He chanted in an echoing voice, “AUM”, which left a deep reverberation in and around the open stage. People sat on the ground, as if transfixed by the magnetic personality of Baba.
Many spectators almost held their breath as if utterly anxious to hear the initial words from the mouth of the great Yogi, Tat wale Baba. Tat wale Baba began his lecture in unrestrained Hindi, which was the local language of the inhabitants of the area. His speech was worth priceless diamonds and I would say that these were typically the Quotes of Tat wale Baba.
His words too had the impact of his towering personality.
As Tat wale Baba spoke, Sri Mahesh Yogi translated the talk into English for the benefit of the Yogi’s western disciples who were also present in large numbers at the rare gathering.

Famous Tat wale Baba Quote and Explanation
What is the aim of all beings?
Answer: Without a doubt, attainment of everlasting happiness.
A Life free from Suffering and the attainment of eternal happiness is what everyone wants.
Now, we should discriminate and analyze if there is anything in the world which can give us permanent, eternal happiness. Right from the ant to the Giant elephant, everyone is only interested in happiness.
Some call it Joy, others call it Bliss. In short everything boils down to happiness alone. We as living entities are split between two types of entities.
1) One is the permanent, everlasting, immortal entity.
2) The short-lived, ever decaying entity which is mortal.
The living entity is immortal and that which surrounds the living entity is the material, non-permanent entity. The living component is the Self, the Real extract of life on this planet. This Self is not to be sought.
In fact it is the very nature of our existence and the living entity is the ‘Self’.
Baba continues his elaborate explanation of his simple statement that all we want is happiness. He says: “The sad part of this however is, our awareness is not on “the real extract of life”. Our awareness is ambling on the visible surrounding of matter instead of the Self. As a result we estrange from the nature of the self that is being blissful. Having forgotten that, we now are seeking it and this is the tragedy of mankind.
We have forgotten what we ourselves “are that” and we’re trying to find that in the world of matter! As long as we don’t enter into that area which is infinite happiness,we will not be free from suffering.

Tat wale Baba explains the Nature of Happiness
When we realize the nature of ourselves as the nature of the Self, we automatically become blissful. There is no other way to happiness. That which changes from an infant, to the youth to the old man is the body and everything associated with the Self.
It is not the Self. That which observes the change is a non-changing blissful Self.
When one gets permanently established in the Self, suffering comes to an end automatically and one attains eternal happiness then and there. That which is omnipresent does not have to be sought. Unless we rivet realization on the Self, we can never happiness for infinite time.
There is no “outside” knowledge. Established in the Self, one is Knowledge personified. That which is our True nature, the Self is not Hindu, Muslim or Christian. It is neither male nor female.
All adjectives and descriptions of someone or somebody, belong to the domain of the limited, the body and the non-Self. On the other hand, the Self can never be adequately described or spoken about. Because, the Self belongs to the domain of the infinite.
Self-reminder is a great means to get focus on the Self. With sufficient practice, consciousness shall remain in the Self and all other binding shackles shall automatically break.” These were the golden words of Tat wale Baba in his Hrikesh lecture.
Baba reveals Secrets of Self-Realization
He continues: “A person who has realized the Self has no bindings or attachments. He is immediately freed from the compulsions of matter and the occupations of the material world.
Such a person is free from the Effects of Karma.
Because although a Self-realized individual performs Karma, no Karma can ever bind his personality, which just remains superfluous. Having gained this beautiful, perfect human nervous system, if we have known that element of the Self, it is much more than a diamond gift.
This diamond-like nervous system is capable of giving that eternal bliss. If we do not experience this, then we have wasted that gift of diamond. We have been born as humans, not for the sake of petty enjoyment or monetary pleasure, but to live and be that infinite bliss. So, we will have to attain that thing whether we attain it in this life, or in the next, or in the next.
We just can’t forgo that. We have to attain it in the final say.
Then why waste this very life and postpone the attainment of the Self for a next life? Therefore, with the assistance of the guru and the scriptures, it is better to attain it quickly. So, Why wait?”
Tat Wale Baba’s talk was followed by an opportunity for questions to be asked. Indeed it was a mystical experience for people.
