Why are people interested in Tantrika Sadhana?
Tantric and Vedic Sadhana are broadly the only two forms of Sadhana. Many people around the world express the desire to learn Tantrik Sadhana. Because they feel that one can materially and spiritually benefit at the same time, through this process. But people also fear that performing these spiritual practices without a guru can be dangerous.
Vedic Sadhana: Why is it better to do Daiviya Sadhana?
But there are other types of divine spiritual practices called “Daiviya Sadhana”, which are easy and safe to perform in the absence of the guru. To a great degree, one shall have independence, given to the tantrums of modern-day gurus who drive social and personal compulsions.
No one shall suffer even if they commit mistakes, during the course of Daiviya Sadhana ( दैवीय साधना). This is because Bhagawan directly supervises the sadhana. This type of Sadhana is Satvika or sadhana in the mode of goodness.
Vedic Sadhana: Dark vs Bright Powers
Spiritual practice in the mode of goodness relates to the brighter powers that govern the universe.
There are dark powers and bright powers and you can connect with either power if you are equipped with the grace of guru and Bhagawan. The condition is that someone guides you or gives you the right methodology to perform sadhana.
Connecting with the dark energies of the universe without personal harm is possible with the guidance of an expert self-realized guru only. It is a common notion that one can retain and use many powers especially associated with dark energies. However, connecting with the dark energies can prove dangerous if one does not connect to the deity, through Sadhana, in the right manner.
These energies can give and bless, at the same time, take away or destroy with equal intensity. These energies do not bother about the sadhaka. They only see that the one doing the sadhana is doing it as prescribed, in the right manner, with the least mistakes.
As long as we do the process correctly and the powers of the guru are guiding the doer, things will work.
The Vama Marga: The Leftist Path
Lord Shiva in the form of Lord Bhairava and Goddess Kali, together, head the dark forces and they require the execution of the Tantrika process, as expected by the deities. One is expecting profits and material advantages out of Bhairava-Kali sadhana.
Naturally, the deities do not like to give it without proper deliberation or effort.
Mistakes can ruin one’s chances of success and it can also affect the normal life of the sadhaka if there are errors during the sadhana.
Dark energy worship may also include the use of certain “lower elements” such as meat, liquor, and other items, generally prohibited in the average society culture of Bharath. The powers garnered through worship of dark energies may have some positive use.
The advantage is that, if we follow the processes without flaw, the results will come very soon and will prove to be highly effective.
These powers are many times used to harm others.
However, if these people use these energies for negative purposes, in the end, these energies also destroy the source or the doer who directed these energies to destroy his enemies. “Vama marga” ( वाम मार्ग the leftists’ path) is the path of using dark energies for one’s benefit.

Dakshina Marga(Vedic Sadhana): Worship with Love
On the other hand, the Daiviya Sadhana, is the Dakshina Marg ( दक्षिण मार्ग Rightist path) sadhana.
Here one contacts the brighter energies of the universe mantras and yantras that include worship with all auspicious materials like vermillion, flowers, clarified butter lamps, scent, etc.
The process includes chanting of the names of Shiva who is of the form Mahadeva (Lord of Lords) and the loving form of mother Parvati known as Maa Durga. Kali Devi is the very same Mother Parvati and Durga in the Satvika or the brighter form.
There are no fixed rules of worship, nor a need for a guru for Dakshina Marga sadhana. The sadhaka uses his own chaste methods of worship; with articles in the Satvika mode or the mode of goodness. Here the deities (Lord Shiva and Mother Durga), themselves guide the practitioner out of love for the devotee.
The Lord guides the devotee and inspires him to carry out the sadhana process with love and devotion in the heart. The high point of Daiviya Sadhana is neither the process of worship nor the articles used for worship.
The only important component is the love for the deity, with which the sadhaka makes offerings to his worshipful deity. This makes the worship invaluable and much superior to all other kinds of sadhana.
Anyone, suffering the pangs of material existence can perform worship.
Vedic Sadhana: Daiviya Sadhana is Not Material Worship
One does not intend to achieve any material goals through this form of worship.
It is only a medium to express love and care for the deities. This type of worship is the “lost” child’s sweet call to its eternal parents. When a child is suffering, the child expects nothing but the parents’ loving caress.
When the parents approach their agonized child, they immediately relieve the child of suffering. The goal of all Daiviya or Vedic sadhana is simply the expression of the devotee’s love for the deity. The intent of such sadhana cannot be to “achieve” or “conquer” specific aims and ambitions.
On the other hand, it is simply to feel the deity within oneself and forget the worries of the world. Here the devotee considers the presence of the deity superior to all other things of the material world.
This sadhana is not for fulfilling selfish desires but to attain the protection of the deity.
Vedic Sadhana: Daiviya Sadhana and Liberation
All the Scriptures consider Daiviya Sadhana to be superior to any form of Vama marga Sadhana. The Scriptures consider the grace of God as the most supreme attainment, much higher than all other forms of material attainments.
One should note that no Vama Marga sadhana can take anyone to the ultimate position of Liberation. This potency is present only in the Daiviya sadhana or Dakshina Marga Sadhana.
Dakshina Marga sadhana is the basis of love for the Good and Worthy. This is Bhakti.
Daiviya Sadhana is nothing but reading Scriptures that praise the Lord. It may also include chanting the names of the Lord or simply offering flowers to the deities out of love.
